ISL is a Candidate School* for the CP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that ISL believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org

Why choose ISL?

Hear from our community about why ISL is their school of choice.

“ISL really teaches them how to be learners – this was very important for our son, and we can see it now; the way he faces life, the way he faces any challenges. He’s a confident person – and a happy person.”
- Ramiro, ISL Parent

Why the IB?

Why choose the IB qualification?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) at ISL offers far more than a traditional academic pathway — it provides an educational experience that shapes curious, confident and globally minded young people. The IB empowers students to think independently, explore ideas in depth and understand the world from multiple perspectives.

What sets the IB apart is its breadth and balance, keeping students intellectually open while blending rigorous subject study with essential skills such as research, critical thinking, collaboration and communication. This holistic approach helps students see how disciplines connect and apply their learning in real-world contexts.

During their time at ISL, students become skilled researchers and reflective learners — qualities that prepare them exceptionally well for university and beyond. Universities worldwide value IB graduates for their academic maturity, strong work ethic and ability to thrive in independent study.

Gunnersbury Park

Our school is situated on the corner of one of the finest public parks in London, where Forest School meets weekly to explore and learn in 200 acres of nature. Older students can use the outdoor space recreationally during the day.

Our fantastic Sports Hub, built in partnership with Ealing Council and Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, is located in the park as well, and is used by students for PE lessons, to train for competitive sporting events and play their favourite sports.
