Wellbeing

Wellbeing lies at the heart of the student experience at ISL. We are a friendly, caring and welcoming community, which values every single member as an individual in their own right, providing a happy and safe environment in which our students can thrive.

Our dedicated pastoral care provides students with the support they need to feel truly valued, confident in themselves, and in their own abilities.

For wellbeing, students receive guidance both as a group and individually.

As a group, students participate in a Personal, Relationships, Social and Health Education (PRSHE) programme which we have developed especially for the needs of the globally mobile, internationally minded student. As individuals, students have access to 1-to-1 time with their personal tutor two or three times each half-term to discuss emotional wellbeing.

The Head of Student Wellbeing is also able to offer advice and support that is informed by methods in counselling and psychotherapy, and the school has a registered counsellor available too.

Transitions Support

With students and staff from all over the world, we are experts in supporting students and their families transition to a life in a new country and a new school.

We provide a dedicated programme to support our families as they settle into our community as they grow.
