International School of London

With teams at all levels of inter-school competition, there is plenty of opportunity for fun and focus on the sports field.

At varsity level, our teams participate in tournaments with other international schools through the International Schools Sports Association (ISSA). One of ISSA’s fundamental ideals is fostering cultural interaction as well as sporting competition.

Our team members travel to competitions in various countries, staying with local host families from the school. In turn, our students’ families welcome visiting competitors into their homes. Students often mention the resulting sense of teamwork and cultural exchange as a highlight of their time at ISL.

State-of-the-Art Sports Facilities

With brand new sports facilities situated in neighbouring Gunnersbury Park, a short walk from the Diploma College, with the latest 4G football pitches, tennis courts, indoor sports hall with viewing platform for parents, gym and studios for yoga and other activities – ISL has first-class sports facilities for students.

ISL sports teams play fixtures locally and around the world

The Outdoor Sports Facilities

With stunning floodlit artificial all-weather football pitches, grass rugby and football pitches, floodlit tennis courts and cricket grounds, we are ready for every sporting occasion regardless of the London weather.
