Classroom Without Walls

ISL is committed to taking learning beyond the walls of the classroom.

At ISL we believe that the opportunity to take our learning beyond the walls of the classroom inspires, reveals and provokes new ways of thinking, learning and of acquiring knowledge. This allows students to build positive relationships, trust, and communicate with their peers, teachers and the community by facing unique challenges and experiences outside of the classroom.

MYP Students Taking Learning Beyond The Classroom

London as a classroom

Situated in the city of London, ISL provides fantastic opportunities for innovative projects. Being in the west of London provides the perfect balance of bustling activity paired with access to stunning green spaces and easy reach of the city centre.

Learning beyond the classroom is the use of places other than the classroom for teaching and learning. It is about getting students out and about, providing them with challenging, exciting and different experiences to help them learn.

Student Agency

Our students engage with local and global issues ranging from human rights and conflict to the environment and governance of the school itself, learning about the ways in which they can create positive change in the world with self-initiated projects at a local and international level.

Community Engagement

Engaging with our local and international communities is an integral and inspiring part of the ISL experience that empowers our students to make a positive difference on campus, in their community, and beyond in service of others.
