Service learning is an integral and inspiring part of the ISL experience, and empowers our students to make a positive difference on campus, in London and elsewhere in the United Kingdom, and overseas. Our MYP Service learning and IB CAS (Creativity, Action and Service) activities provide our students with exciting and transformative opportunities to serve others.
These activities are varied and dynamic; in the United Kingdom, they range from on-campus environmental and fund-raising initiatives, to engaging with members of our local community through programmes such as the ISL Reading Buddy scheme. Our service activities overseas include ‘Traveleyes’ trips, in which our students act as guides to visually impaired people, and the ISL India trip in which we support underprivileged children. Through our Service learning programme, ISL students not only learn about global citizenship and responsibility, but grow into empowered, compassionate and empathetic individuals who proactively seek to make our world a better place.
Ealing Food Bank Project
Working within our communities locally and internationally is a cornerstone of the ISL mission, and realised through our many Service Learning, Community Engagement and Charitable initiatives.
One of our resolutions for 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ is to increase our regular aid to local charities, which is why we are asking for continued support to the year-round Ealing Food Bank project. Below is a list of key items needed in January, and food bank collections can be found in the 3 main areas of the school(Annex, DP and main campus) to drop these off. Thank you for your support.
