With teams at all levels of inter-school competition, there is plenty of opportunity for fun and focus on the sports field.

As an international school, we take things a step further too.

At varsity level, our teams participate in tournaments with other international schools through the International Schools Sports Association (ISSA). One of ISSA’s fundamental ideals is fostering cultural interaction as well as sporting competition.

Our team members travel to competitions in various countries, staying with local host families from the school. In turn, our students’ families welcome visiting competitors into their homes. Students often mention the resulting sense of teamwork and cultural exchange as a highlight of their time at ISL.

Sports in the Curriculum

Alongside varsity sport competition, MYP students have weekly Physical Education and Team sports practice in our new purpose-built sports hub.

In addition, MYP students are encouraged to learn new skills in dance, performance, acrobatics, juggling, and a number of other interesting activities through which they acquire new skill sets.
