A Very Rewarding Assembly

Tuesday this week was particularly busy,  with our MYP Assembly taking place shortly before the Jingle Bell Run.
Introduced by an excellent performance of the piano piece 'Romeo and Juliet', our Assembly got underway, and we soon heard from the Student Government about their recent training day, after which Mr. Rose presented its members with special badges for each of their roles.

We had important announcements about the 'Red Ribbon' initiative, a bake sale in aid of Tabitha on Thursday 12 December and the 'Deck the Halls' initiative, the latter being a competition next week to make the most seasonal 'Christmas-sy' Tutor Group Room door. Water 1 then, as our main item, gave an excellent overview of special celebrations in different faiths and cultures. We ended with our House Captains distributing colourful wrist bands for our MYP students to use on the Jingle Bell Run, completing what had been a very rewarding Assembly.
