Grade 8 Stained glass workshop

This week, Grade 8 students took part in a Stained Glass Workshop facilitated by Tessa Mackenzie, an artist and illustrator working in Glasgow, who has recently had her work profiled on the BBC. This was a wonderful opportunity for the students to extend their learning from the stained-glass unit that they worked on last term, and gain hands-on, practical experience working with real glass. 

All the students that took part showed brilliant engagement, and a willingness to take on a new challenge. The results that came out of the workshop were fantastic, and it is exciting to think about the possibilities this now opens for them to bring stained glass into their work in future units. It was a fun day for all, and I want to say a massive thank you to Tessa and all of the students involved.
