Grade 9 Drama students hone their stage skills

This week the Grade 9 students have been able to use our stage at 139 to record a short scene that they have been working on this this term, as part of their Drama unit on Edgar Allan Poe.

They learnt how to construct a scene from the actor and the director’s perspectives and had the opportunity to experiment with stage lights. The last stage of their practice was to get an insight into film-making and they showed incredible interest and challenged themselves.

The students are hoping to share their work as part of our online Festival of Lights 2020 which will be hosted on the islglobe website.
