#paroledasalvare

Coming to the end of the Identity unit, Italian G6-8 students have been joining an initiative called "#paroledasalvare". A famous editor in Italy launched this hashtag because he had noticed that many Italian words are disappearing, as they are not used anymore. People are invited to choose an endangered word and spread it via social media including the hashtag "paroledasalvare". The idea is to raise awareness of those idioms and prompt a larger use in the community.

The Italian students were very enthusiastic about this project. Not only did they share the words on the platform of their choice, but they also created a postcard to reinforce the meaning of each word.
