Richard Parker elected as Board Chair for ECIS

The International School of London is proud to announce that Richard Parker, Head of School, has been elected as the new Board Chair for the Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS).
 


Founded in 1965, ECIS is a non-profit, global membership organisation dedicated to supporting internationally minded schools and partners. With a vibrant network representing over 500 communities and 50,000 passionate educators across 85 countries on six continents, ECIS is committed to fostering a culture of lifelong learning and social justice through diversity, inclusion and intercultural understanding.

Richard Parker brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to international education to his new role. Prior to joining ISL as Head of School in 2015 he had leadership roles in Hong Kong, Portugal and Brunei and Spain, as well as being a CIS schools visitor and an IB workshop leader.

ECIS provides culturally sensitive professional development led by outstanding educational facilitators and thought leaders. The organisation's global educational community offers access to a multitude of resources aimed at enhancing a school's vision and mission, as well as innovative projects that shape and improve the future of learning.

As Board Chair, Richard Parker will guide ECIS in its mission to ensure that all students at member schools can become a force for good in the world. His leadership will be instrumental in advancing ECIS's commitment to social justice and equity as essential components of meaningful and lasting international education.
