Community Engagement
Community engagement empowers students to make a positive difference on campus, in their community, and beyond. In the PYP, students take action in their community by finding ways of making responsible change. Whether initiating a class project or working together to launch a school-wide initiative, students develop dispositions and skills that strengthen personal agency and responsibility.
PYP Video Calls with St Mary's Nursing Home Residents During Lockdown
Grade 1 students met regularly with nursing home residents to read and share stories during the national lockdown due to the COVID pandemic.
Virtual Winter Market - Arts & Craft Sales
Every year, students create arts and crafts for our school auction to raise funds for ISL partner charities.
Home Language
The development of a student’s Home Language/Mother Tongue is key to their social and academic development, as well as maintaining links with family and ensuring a wide range of academic and economic future possibilities.
Residential Trips
From Grades 3-5, students at ISL take part in annual residential trips. Students participate in team building activities and bond with their peers through unique and memorable experiences. Excursions are also taken throughout the year to encourage learning in the real world.
