Diploma College Open Evening 2024
At ISL, students are part of an environment with people from different backgrounds and nationalities. We believe this creates a rewarding and fulfilling personal experience, with students learning to embrace diversity and tolerance.
Being part of an environment with people of different backgrounds prepares our students to live and work in a society that embraces individuals’ differences while finding common ground.
Our student population is mirrored in our faculty, with staff from over 50 different countries. Our intercultural classrooms encourage students to think differently and support students in building empathy as they take part in this diverse world.
We are deeply committed to creating a learning environment that embraces students’ learning needs. We see student voice, choice, and agency as an integral part of creating empathetic and culturally-minded citizens.
Through best teaching practices that promote differentiated instruction, project-based learning and personalised learning, students extend their learning and make meaningful choices that suit their interests and skills. Classroom discussions promote a plurality of voices. Our personalised learning approach allows students to work at their own pace and to reach their full potential.
Our language programmes play an integral part in fostering intercultural diversity. We believe that multilingualism is a fundamental part of increased intercultural understanding, which is why our world-renowned language programmes are carefully designed to meet the diverse language needs of all our students.
The development of a student’s Home Language/Mother Tongue is key to their social and academic development, as well as maintaining links with family and ensuring a wide range of academic and economic future possibilities.
Students at ISL are part of an environment with people from different backgrounds and nationalities, learning to embrace diversity and tolerance while freeing themselves of cultural barriers.
