Pastoral care lies at the heart of the student experience at the International School of London. We are a friendly, caring and welcoming community, which values every single member as an individual in their own right, providing a happy and safe environment in which our students can thrive.
Through our pastoral care we support our students so they feel truly valued, are confident in themselves, and in their own abilities. Our students and staff come from all over the world, and as a school we are very aware of students’ transitions to life in a new country and a new school, and offer a dedicated programme to support students as they settle in to our community.
We have a highly experienced team of pastoral tutors and class teachers, who proactively support student wellbeing. Informed by the principles of positive psychology, our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) programmes address the needs of students, encouraging their growth as confident, considerate and compassionate young adults.
We encourage students to believe that they can achieve in whatever they put their mind to, and through activities such as our residential week, service initiatives, events, and our student council, support them in developing their leadership skills.
At the International School of London the uniqueness of each individual, and the diversity of our community are celebrated, and we invite you to see for yourself our friendly and caring school, where every student counts.
